Around 90 minutes drive from the new airport, Pattaya and it's sister Jomtien are the most popular resorts in Thailand.
With a year long season Pattaya enjoys better weather than Thailand's other resorts and islands - we do have a rainy season but it's much shorter than the Phuket coast and it seldom rains for more than an hour! Neither do we have Samui's fierce on-shore winds in December - March.
It's also a great base to tour Thailand's coast with Koh Samet about an hour away, 3 hours gets you to Koh Chang and it's Maritime Park and you can fly to Phucket and Koh Samui from the local airport. Come for a couple of weeks and then find yourself changing your arrangements and staying for a month or more! Most people find that Pattaya is significantly better value for money than most of Thailand's coastal areas. Few only come once!
